Product Details

Ripening in mid-October this apple has the distinction of being Don Higgins’s favorite eating apple as far as taste goes. A consistent producer this apple caught our eye early in our field trials, for its consistent crop loads as well as excellent eating. Not a high-coloring apple Eddie brings, an “X” factor our breeding team could not be more excited about. Eddie Blooms late! A lot of times Land managers want or need their apples in what’s known as a frost pocket or in layman’s terms the bottom of the hill. This is more likely to be where the spring frost happens later in the spring and possibly hurting your apple crop. To have an apple with proven high Disease resistance in field trial as well as having the proven DNA Markers combined with a late bloom date makes Eddie and Extremely valuable part of your apple portfolio.
